Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress from the United States. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she takes part in Passover seders.
