Lara Logan
Lara Logan was born 29 March 1971. She is a South African journalist, radio and television journalist. She was an official CBS News correspondent from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually incorrect, politcally biased story in 2012 Benghazi as "the most regrettable mistake I've made in the past 10 years." She was a member of Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media organization) in 2019. In January 2020, she joined Fox Nation (a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News). She told Fox News in March 2022 that they had been "dumped". Logan worked as an assistant news reporter for Durban's Sunday Tribune (1988-1989) and the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992 she was hired by Reuters Television Africa, primarily as a senior producers. After four years of service, she began freelance journalism. Reporter, editor and producer assignments for ITN, Fox/SKY News, CBS News (in London), ABC News (in Nairobi), NBC and European Broadcasting Union were all given to her. CNN hired her to cover on such incidents as the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland.
