Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously served in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011), the spokesperson for the United States Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an CNN political contributor from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career in the 2001 re-election campaigns Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack Both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki worked as the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communication serving as press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his spot on May 30, 2014. In 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and remained until the close of the Obama administration.
